2 people found dead in far West Side home after pair of 911 calls identified

Police not looking for suspects

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were found dead Friday evening on the far West Side after a pair of 911 calls.

Police found the two after 7 p.m. at a home in the 5700 block of Stone Village, just off Culebra Road.

While authorities didn't immediately call it a murder-suicide, a sergeant at the scene said police are not looking for any suspects and found the murder weapon inside the home.

On Saturday morning, police said one of the deceased, 42-year-old Angie Garcia-Ellison, had suffered several gunshot wounds and 51-year-old Baldwin Ellison died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The initial call to 911 was made just after 7 p.m. and then a second caller reported shots fired. When police arrived, they found the man and woman dead from gunshot wounds.

Police didn’t say who placed the second call but said there may have been others in the home at the time of the shooting. It’s also unclear who placed the initial call.

“It was a 911 call, but it was an abandoned 911 call. The person did not speak, so we had no details on the initial call. And when the second call came in, that’s when we got more details,” said Sgt. Daniel Gonzalez, with the San Antonio Police Department.
