Storm chaser takes viewers inside tornado with 'TIV'

SAN ANTONIO – You may have seen Sean Casey in his storm chaser series. He has been a IMAX film maker for his entire career but how he got hooked on storm chasing is interesting.

"We did an IMAX film called "Forces of Nature" and there was a tornado sequence in that and that I fell in love with tornadoes and chasing them," said Casey.

Casey had always wanted to drive into the heart of a tornado, he did but it only took 8 years.

Sean knows his business has an inherent risk but there is a sequence in his movie where he backs away for good reason.

"When you get a tornado that's half a mile wide that's a strong tornado. That's something you don't want to risk everything, I've got two young girls at home and I want to come back to them," Casey said.

Casey's new movie "Tornado Alley" is playing now at the Rivercenter Mall in 3D.
