3 men caught stealing beer from beer truck Off-duty DPS trooper catches thieves in act
SAN ANTONIO – Three men were caught in the middle of stealing beer at a San Antonio Valero Thursday morning.
It happened in the 7200 block of Blanco a little before 6 a.m.
Police said the driver of the beer truck was inside making a delivery when three men pulled up next to the truck and helped themselves to an 18-pack of Coors.
An off-duty DPS trooper saw the men and she held them at gunpoint until police arrived.
Police said the 18-pack the men swiped from the beer truck wasn't the only thing they stole Thursday morning..
A couple minutes before 6 a.m., an employee at the Exxon in the 800 block of San Pedro reported an armed robbery.
That employee described the same men and the same car and said they came in with a knife and stole beer.
Police also found drugs in the car the men were driving.
