There are a lot of barcode scanner apps for your smart phone, but this app of the day is one that recommends which products to buy while you shop. Consmr Barcode Scanner is useful at supermarkets and grocery stores. When you shop, simply scan the barcode of any item. The app will show you the average customer rating.. and offer alternatives for the product, in case the review is less than stellar. The app will also let you search for items, like gluten-free, or sensitive skin products, to name a few. It will even alert you of product recalls for items you scanned.
