Police arrest suspect in carjacking

Trevor Mays facing two counts of aggravated robbery

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested one of two suspects in a carjacking and robbery earlier this month.

Trevor Mays, 18, is facing two counts of aggravated robbery in connection with the incident because it involved two victims.

Police responded to the robbery call in the 11800 block of Bandera Road on May 18.

They said two people told them they had been robbed by two men, armed with a gun and knife.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victims told police they were sitting in their car when the two robbers climbed into the back seat, ordering them to get out and leave everything else behind. One victim said that included his cell phone. The suspects then left with the vehicle, the affidavit stated.

Two days later, police received a call about a suspicious vehicle, which matched the description of the stolen car, the affidavit stated.

When officers showed up at the location, though, the vehicle was gone.

The caller, however, was able to give police the name of the person who was driving the car, the affidavit stated.

Police said the victims later picked Mays out of a photo lineup. He was arrested Tuesday.
