NEWS BRAUNFELS, Texas – A 2-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at his New Braunfels home while his babysitter was inside getting food, said police.
The drowning happened at a home in the 1900 block of Logans Pass about 8:12 p.m. Friday.

New Braunfels police said a 16-year-old babysitter was watching the two children at the house.
Police said the babysitter left the two children in the back yard, where a fence and gate separated the back yard from the pool, to go into the house to get food.
During that time, police said Christian Moreno, 2, opened the gate and fell into the pool.
The other child told the babysitter, who pulled Moreno from the water and began CPR.
Moreno was taken to Christus New Braunfels Hospital, where he died. An autopsy is pending.
