Security guard at XTC Cabaret shoots at driver who tried to run him over

San Antonio police: Injuries to XTC Cabaret security guard minor

SAN ANTONIO – A security guard at XTC Cabaret on Sable Lane suffered minor injuries in a clash with a couple of patrons that included the guard firing shots after the suspects ran him down with a car.

The uniformed guard, whose name was not released, works for a private company, according to San Antonio police.

The incident happened before 5 a.m. Monday as he was patrolling the area around the North Side strip club located in the 2000 block of Sable Lane.

San Antonio police said the guard told them he had asked two men to clear out of the club's parking lot, and that led to an altercation.

After exchanging words with the guard, the men jumped into a car and drove toward him, police said.

The guard was knocked over the hood of the car, and although he fell to the ground, he fired off several shots, police said.

The guard told officers it did not appear that he hit anything. San Antonio police describe the car involved as blue, possibly a Ford.
