Reginald Brown accused of punching, kicking son for talking too much in school

SAN ANTONIO – Northeast Bexar County resident Reginald Brown, 43, is accused of beating up his teenage son because the boy talked too much in school, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The affidavit stated that the 14-year-old boy made an outcry to a counselor at his middle school Thursday, saying that Brown had punched, kicked and choked him to the point where he nearly blacked out Wednesday night.

The counselor noticed that the child had a bruise on his eye and scratches on his neck, the affidavit stated. School personnel then notified the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

The affidavit also stated that investigators interviewed a friend of the teen who said he has heard the boy speak about being beaten by his father in the past.

Brown was arrested Thursday on a charge of injury to a child.
