Case McCoy, Jordan Hicks rejoin Texas Longhorns after suspensions Players sent home before Valero Alamo Bowl

SAN ANTONIO – Texas Longhorns Head Coach Mack Brown announced Sunday evening that senior quarterback Case McCoy and junior linebacker Jordan Hicks have been allowed to rejoin the football team after their suspensions on the eve of the Valero Alamo Bowl.
Their suspensions followed a complaint filed by a 21-year-old woman who accused two men of sexual assault after they were invited back to her hotel room shortly after 2 a.m. on Dec. 28. Both players were sent home and suspended for a violations of team rules, but never charged or named in the report.
Hicks' attorney, Perry Minton, issued a press release last week that stated he spoke with the San Antonio police detective investigating the case and no charges would be filed. San Antonio police later refuted the release and said the investigation was still open.
HornsNation reported Brown would handle the players' discipline within the team.
McCoy was the Longhorns' backup quarterback for most of the season. He started one game in 2012 and five in 2011. Hicks was sidelined for most of the 2012 season because of a groin injury.
