Ex-Edgewood ISD teacher arrested on porn charges

Marcus Revilla appears in federal court on the new case

A former Edgewood Independent School District science teacher appeared in federal court Thursday on a charge of production of child pornography.

Marcus Revilla, 44, was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Wednesday night, said Special Agent Michelle Lee.

Revilla was already charged with sexual assault of a child. Investigators said he had sex with a student, who is now 16 and pregnant.

A district police officer is also being investigated for having a sexual relationship with the same teen.

Monday, officials said they found child pornography on a computer Revilla left at Memorial High School.

Lee said Edgewood ISD Police and the Bexar County Sheriff's Office helped in the arrest.

If convicted of the federal charge, Revilla faces a minimum prison term of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years.
