SAN ANTONIO – A cable TV repairman has been arrested on a charge of sexual assault of a child after San Antonio police said they learned he had been carrying on a sexual relationship with the 16-year-old daughter of a customer.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that Fabian Hernandez, 24, worked for Time Warner and met the girl in May while making repairs to the internet service in her home.
The affidavit stated that the girl's father later noticed his daughter had begun acting strangely and decided to check her phone.
He told police discovered text messages in the teen's phone in which she talked about having sex with someone, and confronted her, the affidavit stated.
The girl told investigators that she and Hernandez began having sex soon after they met, even though he knew she was 16-years-old, the affidavit stated.
She also said Hernandez had told her to delete the text messages because he could lose his job or go to jail, the affidavit stated.
Police said they conducted an investigation and determined the text messages did come from Hernandez's phone, the affidavit stated. He was booked into jail Thursday.
