SAN ANTONIO – A woman is dead and four other people are injured after a South Side crash early Tuesday morning that San Antonio police said may be alcohol-related.
The woman who died -- identified Tuesday afternoon as Jennifer Ann Villegas, 32 -- was in a sedan with three other people when it ran a stop sign in the 1900 block of Commercial Avenue just south of SE Military around 5:15 a.m., police said.

They said the car was then T-boned by an SUV, which contained one woman who appeared to be on her way to work
She and the three injured people from the car were taken to a hospital for treatment. Villegas died at the scene.
Officers said the people in the sedan were returning home after being out all night, and all appeared to be from the same family.
The two vehicles hit with such force that they both left the roadway. The SUV slammed into a bus stop, bending its metal base nearly down to the ground.
Concrete was sent flying as the SUV jumped the curb and landed on the sidewalk.
The sedan came to rest in the front yard of a home. Police said they believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, but no charges had been filed as of 9 a.m. Tuesday.
