Chanelle Reyes, 31, was severely burned and died at San Antonio Military Medical Center as a result of her injuries.

The fire has been the subject of an ongoing KSAT Defenders investigation after concerns were raised about response time by emergency personnel.

The Leon Valley Fire Department did not dispatch its own ambulance that morning.

A dispatcher called a private EMS company, Acadian, nine minutes after firefghters requested medical assistance.

The State Fire Marshal and the Leon Valley city manager both responded to KSAT's investigation. (You can read their reponses by clicking on the links below.)

The Bexar County Arson Unit continues to investigate who may have started the deadly fire and a possible motive.
