Woman killed in Christmas Day shooting ID'd
Roxanne Sanchez, 28, fatally shot by boyfriend on NE Side
SAN ANTONIO ā San Antonio police have released the name of a woman shot and killed on the Northeast Side Christmas Day.Ā
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Roxanne Sanchez.Ā
Police said Sanchez was involved in an argument with her boyfriend Thursday morning inside a home in the 4300 block of First View Drive.
During the argument the boyfriend, 31-year-old Benjamin Poehlman, pulled a gun and shot Sanchez in the chest, investigators said.Ā
She was taken to University Hospital where she died.Ā
Officers said they found Poehlman, who is confined to a wheelchair, with a gun in his hand.Ā
Police said Poehlman has a criminal history and is now facing a murder charge.Ā
