Police: Marijuana, alcohol, loaded gun found in DWI suspect's car Car stopped at I-35 near Elmira St.
SAN ANTONIO – A man faces DWI charges after police said they found marijuana, alcohol and a loaded gun in his car at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Elmira Street early Sunday morning.
Police said around midnight they noticed the driver ran a few red lights and drove into a parking lot, ran over parking barriers and blew out his tires.
The man then abandoned his vehicle and took off on foot but was quickly found and taken into custody, police said.
The man is being charged with DWI and evading arrest.
