SAPD: Brother's confession leads to arrest in shooting

Investigators: Jose Rocha, 41, shot Aaron Riedner, 36

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said a man investigated in connection with a weekend shooting told them it was actually his brother who fired the fatal shots.

Police originally interviewed Estevan Rocha in connection with the Saturday death of 36-year-old Aaron Riedner (pictured).

Riedner was shot at a VIA bus stop at Buena Visa and South Zarzamora, police said.

However, during the interview, Estevan Rocha told police it was his brother, Jose Rocha, who shot Riedner following an argument.

Jose Rocha was originally interviewed after the shooting but had somehow convinced police investigators he was not involved and was released.

After Estevan Rocha's confession, police arrested Jose Rocha and charged him with murder.

Reidner's family says he was a husband and the father of two teenagers.
