Council approves improvements to duck pond park
SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio City Council has paved the way for improvements to be made to a park on the city's west side.
Councl members unanimously approved a construction contract for Heritage Duck Pond.
Planned improvements for the park include a new, 3,600-square-foot skate park, improved sidewalks around the park, as well as a new seating area.
The park currently has a walking trail, a covered basketball facility and green space.
The voter-aproved bond project will cost $400,000 dollars and construction will begin sometime in May and is expected to be complete by September.
