HEB issues recall for hamburger, hot dog buns

SAN ANTONIO – HEB has issued a voluntary recall for HEB brand hamburger and hot dog buns and Hill Country Fare brand hot dog buns.

The company announced the recall Friday because of the possible presence of foreign material in the products.

"A terry cloth glove used for handling hot pans could have broken up in the dough, resulting in a potential choking hazard," according to a statement issued by HEB.

No incidents have been reported and products on the shelves as of Friday, June 26, are not included in the recall.

Customers who purchased the product can return them to the store for a full refund. Customers with any questions or concerns may contact HEB Customer Service at 1-855-432-4438.
