Converse man charged with trafficking 15-year-old girls

SAN ANTONIO – Melvin Sullivan, 42, of Converse was arrested Thursday after allegedly trafficking two 15-year-old girls.

Members of the Child Exploitation Task Force took Sullivan into custody.

He has been charged with one count of sexual trafficking of a minor and one count of trafficking a minor by using force.

The teens told authorities Sullivan posted ads online in October soliciting sex for money.

He is expected to appear in federal court Feb. 1.

In convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
