700+ Edgewood ISD students receive free dental care from UTHSC-SA students

SAN ANTONIO – Dental and dental hygiene students from the School of Dentistry at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio screened 700+ second-graders from Edgewood for a project called ‘Give Kids A Smile.’ The program, in partnership with EISD, is in its 13 year. Students were provided free screenings, dental sealants, fluoride rinses and referrals to community dentists for children with urgent needs.
