ME releases names of victims killed in shootings

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has released the names of two men killed in separate shootings.

Antwine Boyd, 27, was shot and killed Sunday night at the Cottage Creek Apartments in the 4800 block of Ray Bon Drive.

Boyd was shot several times, police said.

No arrests have been made.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. The number to call is 210-224-STOP (7867).

The ME's Office also released the name of a man who was found dead in his car early Saturday morning.

The victim was identified as Jose Manuel Chavez Tapia, 19.

Police found his car crashed into a tree on Kissing Oak near loop 1604 and Judson Road.

But the ME's office said the victim died of a gunshot wound to the neck.

The case is being investigating as a homicide.
