SAN ANTONIO – Juan Soto, 32, has been arrested on a charge of stalking in a case that police with Texas A&M University-San Antonio said also involved "veiled threats" against the school, itself.

An arrest warrant affidavit said that the subject of the alleged stalking is a 41-year old-woman who works at the school. It said that the woman said Soto has been following her since February, causing her to fear for her safety.

The latest incident was reported Monday. The affidavit stated that the woman told campus police that Soto had come into her office, uninvited, and told her that he knew where she parked her car. She said she recently had purchased a new car, hoping to throw Soto off her trail.

In the affidavit, the woman said Soto told her that he had barged into an executive meeting at the school, and that the meeting got heated and "almost became a bloodbath." She said he also told her he knows "why people blow themselves up into bits and pieces," the affidavit said.

It also stated that Soto sent the woman a stack of emails which police characterize as a "manifesto." They said has beliefs involving government conspiracies and has spoken of communicating with deities who urge him to "destroy the temple," the affidavit stated. Police said Soto believes the stalking victim is the high priestess of that temple.

He was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Bexar County jail with bond set at $15,000.
