Teenager found dead outside fire station identified

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have released the name of the teenage girl found dead in the parking lot of a fire station on the city's Northeast Side.

Jaylin Loredo, 16, was found just before 10 p.m. Sunday at Fire Station #40 in the 14300 block of O'Connor Road.

Paramedics spent about 30 minutes trying to revive the teen but were not able to save her, police said.

According to police, Loredo had previously sent suicidal messages to her boyfriend following a breakup. 

Police said there was no signs of foul play at the scene.

The body of what appeared to be a teenage girl has been found in the parking lot of a Northeast Side fire station.

San Antonio police said firefighters were alerted to the situation around 10 p.m. Sunday by someone who knocked on the back door of fire station #40. They said the teenage girl was lying on the ground in the parking lot in the 14300 block of O'Connor Road.

Paramedics spent about 30 minutes trying to revive the teen but were not able to save her, police said.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate. They did not say right away whether they suspect that foul play was involved.

It's also unclear whether the person who knocked on the door of the fire station knew the girl who was found dead.
