Police want help in finding suspect involved in theft

Incident occurred July 5; suspect also injured 81-year-old woman

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a theft and the injury to a woman.

The theft took place on July 5.

According to police, the suspect grabbed a gold rope chain from around the neck of an individual who was walking through a parking lot after exiting a store. That's when, police say, he pulled the gold chain off the individual and fled the scene.

While leaving the man then pushed an 81-year-old woman to the ground causing her to be injured, police said.

SAPD needs help identifying the man seen in the photo above.

Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
