SAN ANTONIO – Buford Allen, 33, is facing charges in connection with the robbery of a pizza delivery driver on the city's Northwest Side last month.
A charged of aggravated robbery was filed against Allen Monday. He already was in custody on an unrelated matter.
An arrest warrant affidavit said that the 22-year-old victim told police he had just delivered a pizza at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Cable Ranch Road Oct. 22 when a man with a gun approached him.
The victim told police the gunman demanded his wallet, cell phone and car keys, then took off in his vehicle.
The affidavit said that police found the victim's cell phone, smashed and abandoned on a nearby street.
They located the car about a week later on the other side of town.
Police said they were able to lift a fingerprint from the victim's cell phone and it matched those of Allen.
The affidavit said that Allen gave a complete confession duirng a jail house interview with detectives.
