Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff endorses Mayor Ivy Taylor for re-election

SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff is throwing his support behind Ivy Taylor in her re-election bid for mayor.

Wolff on Wednesday listed projects on which he and Taylor worked together and others to which they are looking forward.

“We’ve had a great partnership. She's doing a good job,” Wolff said. “I don't think you ought to be changing leadership right in the middle of these important things that we're working on."

Taylor is currently running unopposed. However, sources told KSAT that District 8 Councilman Ron Nirenberg plans to announce his intention to enter the race for mayor on Saturday. Bexar County Democratic Party Chair Manuel Medina said he is also leaning toward a run for mayor.
