Man shot with AR-15 after argument in Seguin, police say

SEGUIN, Texas – A man was arrested in connection with a shooting in the 1000 block of East Walnut Street Sunday in Seguin.

Police said the victim was heard yelling that he'd been shot following an alleged argument about 6:45 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect, Michael Gott, 46, was still there. He was questioned and taken into custody.

Police said an AR-15, which was the weapon allegedly used, was seized at the scene.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment. His injuries were not reported.

Gott was taken to the Guadalupe County Jail, where he was booked on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $75,000.

Police said they continue investigating the incident.
