Woman arrested for beating, shooting at The Saint Showbar

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said witnesses helped put a young woman behind bars after she allegedly beat one person and shot two others.

The incident occurred Saturday around 7 a.m. at The Saint Showbar, an establishment located in the 800 block of Lexington Road that had been closed and is in the process of being reopened under a new name.

According to the arrest affidavit, witnesses told police 22-year-old Selena Jade Martinez got into a heated argument with 33-year-old Crystal Galaviz.

The affidavit said the pair started fighting when Martinez hit Galaviz in the head with a gun. That's when, the affidavit said, the gun apparently went off, hitting two people across the room. 

Both women shot in the incident are both expected to recover.

Martinez has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
