1 woman dead, 1 injured after Northeast Side shooting, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A woman is dead and another is injured after a shooting on the Northeast Side, police said.

Police responded to a call for a shooting about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4900 block of Teasdale Drive.

San Antonio police Sgt. Eddie Rohmer said neighbors found a woman dead inside the home. Another woman with a head wound called someone to get a ride to a nearby clinic.

Neighbors reported hearing two gunshots. Two men were seen fleeing the scene.

On Sunday, the medical examiner released the identity of the woman who died as Stephanie Woodford, 34.

Police are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
