SAN ANTONIO – A man who was shot twice in the stomach late Thursday night on a West Side sidewalk has died at the hospital, San Antonio police said.
SAPD officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of El Paso Street just after 11 p.m. for a shooting and found the victim laying on the sidewalk with two gunshots wounds to the abdomen.

Paramedics transported the victim to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Witnesses said that a small dark-colored vehicle drove up to the location, and an unknown man fired two shots from inside the vehicle at the victim and sped away.
Police are investigating a possible connection between the shooter and victim. Police said the victim is a Hispanic man in his 30s. His name has not been released.
No arrests had been made as of 9 a.m. Friday.
The shooting happened in the same area where gunfire erupted Wednesday night.
Two men were arrested in connection with the shooting that killed Glen Hector Montellano, 21.
Montellano was sitting in a car when he was shot, police said.
The two shootings may be connected, police said.
