Man accused of touching child inappropriately while child's mother looked for jobs in Florida

CONVERSE, Texas – A local man is facing child sexual assault charges after a call for help came from several states away.

Sheriff’s deputies in Florida alerted Converse police about sexual assault allegations involving a man living in the area and a child.

Gabriel Villa, 28, is charged with super aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Police said Villa was left to care for two children while their mother was in Florida trying to find a job and buy a home before relocating in July.

Investigators said one of the children told their mother that Villa had touched her inappropriately. That’s when the mother called police and told them what had happened.
