Bexar County District Attorney Nico LaHood running for re-election
SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County District Attorney Nico LaHood announced he will run for re-election in a press conference held Tuesday.
LaHood has served as District Attorney since he took an oath of office in 2015. He defeated 16-year incumbent Susan Reed for the position in 2014.
LaHood said he decided to run again because of the difference he's seeing in the community since he took office. He said his excitement matches his excitement the first time he ran.
He said he will continue to combat child abuse, lower violent crime rates and focus on fighting sex trafficking.
The election will be held in November of next year.
