SAN ANTONIO – A UPS truck driver was killed early Tuesday after an 18-wheeler ran over him, police said.
According to a police report, the man was in the process of connecting the truck to a double-box trailer when he stepped out of the truck cab to apply the air brakes to the second trailer.

Because the emergency brakes were not applied, the truck started to roll, police said.

The man tried to stop the truck, but it rolled over the victim and killed him, police said.
The fatality was reported around 5 a.m. at the UPS Customer Center at 6400 Seven States.
