Driver of pickup truck hospitalized after crashing into VIA bus Incident occurred at intersection of South Presa St, Carolina St
SAN ANTONIO – A man is in the hospital in critical condition after he crashed his pickup truck into a VIA bus overnight, San Antonio police said Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South Presa Street and Carolina Street in the King William District.
Police said the bus was heading southbound in the 1300 block of South Presa when the driver of the pickup ran a red light and T-boned the bus.

The impact of the crash knocked the truck to the other side side of the street, police said.
The driver of the pickup truck suffered extensive head injuries and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
The bus driver injured his knee in the accident but none of the passengers suffered any injuries.
