Man shot in road rage incident on SW Side

Shooting reported Sunday night on S. Zarzamora St. near W. Theo Ave.

SAN ANTONIO – A 31-year-old man was shot in a road rage incident Sunday night, San Antonio police said.

The shooting was reported just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday on South Zarzamora Street near Theo Avenue.

According to police, the gunman was in a vehicle that drove alongside the victim's truck and opened fire, hitting the truck at least three times.

The victim was taken to downtown Baptist Hospital for a bullet wound to the forearm and glass and shrapnel in his arm.

Police said the suspects were driving a dark-colored sedan.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Police said motorists need to keep their cool when encountering angry drivers.

"No one that's driving home from work should being taking a bullet," said Officer Carlos Ortiz, a police spokesman. "Its important to take your time, take a deep breath, listen to the radio and get home safely."
