A man is hospitalized after walking into a Veterans of Foreign Wars post and getting shot by the manager after threatening him with a machete, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. (KSAT)

SAN ANTONIO – A man is hospitalized after walking into a Veterans of Foreign Wars post and getting shot by the manager after threatening him with a machete, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened around 9 p.m., Saturday, at a VFW post in the 8700 block of FM 1560 on the far West Side.

Deputies said the man threatened the manager with the machete in hand, and that’s when the manager shot him in the head.

The man was taken to University Hospital in critical condition. It’s unclear if either will face charges at this time.
