SEGUIN, Texas – A 20-year-old man is being sought by Seguin police in connection with a shooting Monday that left a woman dead and a man injured.

Police are looking for Draven Rene Reyes of Seguin on arrest warrants charging him with murder and aggravated assault, a news release said.

According to police, Reyes and two other people drove by Park West in the 600 block of North Vaughan Avenue, where the suspect opened fire on two people who were sitting near a basketball court.

Maekalyn Ann Marie Smith, 18, was killed and an 18-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.

The investigation remains active, and more arrests are expected.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Reyes is asked to call the Seguin Police Department at 911 or 830-379-2123.

Callers can also contact the Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers at 877-403-8477 (TIPS). Crime Stoppers has offered a reward up to a $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of Reyes, who is considered to be armed and dangerous.
