Police searching for suspects after homeless man is stabbed near Brackenridge Park

SAPD: Victim taken to hospital, expected to be OK

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for suspects after a homeless man was stabbed in the leg on the city’s North Side late Thursday night.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 900 block of East Mullberry Avenue, not far from Red Oak Road in Brackenridge Park.

According to police, the victim, a 55-year-old homeless man, came out of a wooded area after some unknown suspects stabbed him in the thigh. He was taken by EMS to an area hospital and is expected to be OK.

Police said they searched the area for the suspects, but were unable to locate those who stabbed him.

A motive for the attack is not currently known.
