1 person displaced from home after apartment fire on Northwest Side, SAFD says

SAN ANTONIO – One person has been displaced from their home following a fire at a Northwest Side apartment complex late Tuesday night, the San Antonio Fire Department said.

The fire was called in around 10:50 p.m. at the Songbird Apartments, in the 7600 block of Callaghan Road not far from Interstate 10.

Firefighters said when they arrived, they found flames coming from the apartment. They got a quick knock down of the fire.

Fire officials described the damage to the apartment as “moderate” and arson has since been called out to investigate.

A resident has been displaced for the time being. No injuries were reported.

The San Antonio Fire Department, the San Antonio Police Department and EMS all responded to the call.
