Texas, Washington players ride Tidal Surge, interact with dolphins at SeaWorld San Antonio ahead of Alamo Bowl

The players interacted with dolphins and rode the Tidal Surge.

SAN ANTONIO – Football players from the University of Texas and the University of Washington took a break from their Alamo Bowl preparations on Monday and headed to SeaWorld San Antonio.

SeaWorld San Antonio said select players from each team put on wetsuits to swim and interact with dolphins and learn about their history.

Players also rode the 105-foot-tall Tidal Surge, known as the tallest and fastest ride of its kind in the world.

SeaWorld San Antonio hosted players from the University of Washington and the University of Texas as they're in San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl.

Despite Monday’s friendly activities, No. 20 Texas and No. 12 Washington will face off on the gridiron on Thursday. Kickoff for the 30th annual Alamo Bowl at the Alamodome is 8 p.m.
