San Antonio non-profit collecting blankets for pediatric patients

Cancer survivor’s foundation launches latest effort to serve community

SAN ANTONIO – Nearly two years after he beat cancer, a San Antonio man’s pledge to give back to the community continues.

The Stay Strong Foundation is collecting blankets for pediatric patients, a cause inspired by the nonprofit’s founder, Noah Adams.

KSAT 12 has followed Adams’ journey since 2020, not long after he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.

Now a cancer survivor, Adams’ nonprofit foundation aims to give back to the community through efforts like the “Wrapped in Love” blanket drive.

Adams’ mother, Debi Harper, helped coordinated the blanket collection at Chicken N Pickle Wednesday night.

She says Adams was inspired after receiving a blanket during his chemotherapy that he eventually took to college in Pennsylvania.

“It’s a way to show some love to the kids and give them something familiar and cozy and comfy to take with them to their apartments and doctor’s visits,” Harper said.

Donations to the “Wrapped in Love” blanket drive can be made by texting “BLANKET” to 53555 or by visiting the Stay Strong Foundation’s website.
