SAN MARCOS, Texas – A serious crash in the northbound lanes of I-35 at Wonder World Drive has prompted San Marcos police to temporarily close a section of the highway.
An announcement from the San Marcos Police Department said the lanes will be closed near exit 205 in front of the Texas Roadhouse restaurant.
Traffic is being diverted to the access road while first responders are on the scene.
Police said all lanes of southbound I-35 also remain closed.
Commuters commenting on Facebook said it’s taking close to two hours to get through the area.
SMPD is asking people to find an alternate route.
