SAN ANTONIO – A teenage boy staying at a residential treatment center in South Bexar County died Wednesday after reportedly fighting with another boy, officials said.
Tristen Dante Kieran Lopez, 14, died at the Children's Hospital of San Antonio after medical staff determined he had no brain activity and took him off life support, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

Tristen's death came after an incident with another boy Sunday night at the treatment center where he was staying.
KSAT 12 News is not naming the center or providing its exact location, due to law enforcement concerns for the safety of the children staying there. According to the center's website, though, it provides psychotherapy and therapeutic programs for boys between 7 and 17 years old with emotional disorders.
The Sheriff's Office said dispatchers received a call at 7:33 p.m. Sunday for a child down in the living area of a home. Dispatchers were told two children had been fighting.
Tristen was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has not yet determined his official cause of death.
According to the Sheriff's Office, crime scene deputies documented the scene, witnesses provided statements and investigators conducted forensic interviews with juvenile witnesses at Child Safe.
A Sheriff's Office spokesman said any charges are pending further investigation.
