SAN ANTONIO – Hundreds of thousands of San Antonio Spurs fans crowded into downtown San Antonio and the Alamodome on Wednesday to celebrate the team's fifth NBA championship.
The Arneson River Theater was the starting point for the river parade, which began at 6 p.m.

Dozens of barges, carrying players and other VIPs and decorated in silver and black, wound their way through the San Antonio River. Rowdy fans cheered along the River Walk.
Mary Emerson, a Spurs fan, was lucky to score VIP tickets to the Arneson.
"I'm very excited to be able to go to the celebration," Emerson said. "I'm excited about the Spurs. We knew they would win."
Following the parade, the party moves to the Alamodome for a victory gala, which Rosa Douglas plans to attend.
"I think it's going to be really crazy and everybody's just going have fun," Douglas said. "I hope the guys enjoy themselves, too, because it's amazing to have this opportunity and win five rings, five championships."
