SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs are among a group of six teams who have proposed a trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers for guard Kyrie Irving, according to a report on ESPN.com.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday that San Antonio, Minnesota, New York, Miami, Phoenix and the LA Clippers have made offers to Cleveland.

Wojnarowski reported several more teams have inquired about Irving, but there have not been many legitimate proposals.

News of Irving’s request to be traded from the reigning Eastern Conference champions broke last Friday.

Reports indicated Irving had told Cavaliers personnel that San Antonio was a preferred destination.

Friday’s report is the first indication that San Antonio has interest in acquiring Irving, but the report did not say what the Spurs had officially offered.
