Four months since construction wrapped up on the St. Mary’s Strip, the trucks and barricades are gone — but so are many customers.

Ongoing construction on the St. Mary’s Strip for the past couple of years has put the final nail in the coffin for one local business that announced it would be closing its doors after seven years, according to the owner.

San Antonio has 54 construction projects currently working and city officials say 89% of them are considered on time. Still, many business owners near construction say the limited access to their establishment is driving revenue into the ground.

Those in the bar industry say its just as difficult to have the governor shut them down as is it to have to decide on their own.
