A male teenager is in critical condition after a family member accidentally shot him Tuesday, San Antonio police said. A second teen and a family relative around the same age said he accidentally shot the victim while showing him the gun, said SAPD spokesman Sgt. Teenager critically wounded in possible accidental shooting on South Side
SAN ANTONIO – A teenage boy was rushed to University Hospital in critical condition Tuesday morning after being shot in the head in what appears to be an accidental shooting at the hands of his teenage cousin. San Antonio police were called to the Garden Valley Mobile Home Park in the 8600 block of South Zarzamora Street around 11:35 a.m., said SAPD spokesman Sgt. One of the teens had been showing the other a handgun when he told police he had an “accidental discharge,” Brown said. At the time, they were in a home with four other juveniles, ages 5, 7, 11, and 16. Police are investigating the shooting and trying to determine where the teens got the gun.
Truck theft, chase in Southwest Side ends with suspect, teen and officer hurt
A juvenile suspect who allegedly stole a truck Tuesday and ran over a girl who tried to stop her led officers on a Southwest Side chase that ended when she collided with a police SUV. Matthew Brown said the incident began at about 8:30 p.m. when the suspect allegedly stole a black truck from a home in the 1900 block of Cupples Road. The suspect then ran over a teenage girl who was attempting to get the truck back, he said, breaking the girl’s leg. The officer in the SUV, who has been with the department for 2 years, was taken to an area hospital for treatment as a precaution. Brown said the chase was authorized by a sergeant because of the robbery and the assault on the teenage girl.mysanantonio.com
SAPD looking for 10 men with guns after apparent shootout at Northwest Side San Antonio apartment complex
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – San Antonio police declared an entire Northwest Side apartment a crime scene Thursday morning following what sounded like a shootout. He said trouble that started inside one unit at the complex, located in the 12300 block of Vance Jackson Road, spilled outside. This car, with its window shattered, was one of several that were hit in the crossfire in the parking lot. “We did get some stray bullets that went inside an apartment. Neighbor stunned by shooting death of man inside southeast side San Antonio home
SAN ANTONIO – People in a Southeast Side neighborhood are still reeling after waking up to the sight of a crime scene. San Antonio police said someone shot and killed a man early Wednesday inside his home in the 2900 block of Lasses Boulevard. Police said it appeared he may have been sleeping when the first shot hit, then collapsed on the floor after getting out of bed. Police said in a statement Wednesday afternoon that two people were taken to Public Safety Headquarters for questioning. Early on investigators said the person who they were looking for is the boyfriend of the victim’s sister.
