OnePULSE Foundation releases footage of memorial being vandalized
The OnePULSE Foundation is looking for a person who vandalized the memorial outside the former club. The organization posted surveillance video on Facebook of the memorial from Oct. 12. In the post, officials said at around 8:30 p.m., a person in a wheelchair rolled up to a section of the memorial and set it on fire.

Meanwhile, a backlog of pre-holiday death certificates reported to the state Wednesday swelled to unprecedented levels the daily Texas death count from COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus. The 26,808 new cases reported Wednesday raised the total case count to 2,022,635, the Texas Department of State Health Services reported. The newly reported deaths raised the COVID-19 death toll since the pandemic first struck Texas in early March to 30,624.
