The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. in the 400 block of Olive Street, not far from East Commerce Street. According to police, three men stood at the corner of Olive Street and Dakota Street with handguns and a rife and fired several times into multiple homes. Police said the intended target was one of the homes hit, but no one was there at the time. A man next door, however, was struck by a stray bullet in the ankle, police said.
