SAN ANTONIO โ Birthdays are usually a time for celebration, but this celebration was a bittersweet one. The family of Raiden Gonzalez gathered for his fifth birthday Saturday. This comes after both of his parents died from the coronavirus just four months apart earlier this year. Local truck clubs dropped off various truck toys for Raiden on his special day. SAN ANTONIO โ Rozie Salinas never thought her 4-year-old grandson, Raiden Gonzalez, would experience immeasurable loss at four years old. Raidenโs parents, Adan and Mariah Gonzalez, died from COVID-19 four months apart from one another. In October, Salinasโ daughter, 29-year-old Mariah, began to experience chest pain and had difficulty breathing. That was the last time Salinas saw her daughter before she died. Mariah died days after being admitted to the hospital.
